I have always admired bloggers and their confidence to share their own thoughts and opinions about what they love and loathe. Life is full of experiences and these can all be seen as learning opportunities. So why not take the opportunity to learn from others and in hope others can learn from the experiences I share.
When I left University (The mighty Hull), I knew I was always destined to teach… and I have never been disappointed. Not a single day goes by that I regret my decision. I love it, the challenge of teaching Science to many different people, the ‘eureka’ moments, the sense of achievement when a student makes progress. But also the reality of teaching and more so now leadership has its challenges.
Life as a middle leader is just plain crazy! You become the best plate spinner, you multitask to phenomenal levels whilst constantly trying to inspire your team and most importantly the students that you teach.
The aim of my blog is to try and entertain you with the fantastic highs and the stupendous lows we as teachers face every day. So I do hope you enjoy!
